Hey there! Thanks for dropping by Learn German with G! Take a look around and grab the RSS feed to stay updated. See you around!
I’ve been doing Learn-German-YouTube-Videos for quite a while now and thought it would be handy to put it all together here with some written-down explanations. You can find my YouTube Channel here.

Neh for the twitter account, as for now I don’t have much time and tweeting would mean me spending more time on the internet etc… 😉
I think you are doing a great service here. German is a difficult language, and your effort really helps.
Keep going !!
i just wanted to say that im a follower of your youtube account (and now this site!) from England and your vids have massively aided me in developing my German. can’t thank you enough 🙂
Thanks very much for your videos and blog. I am an American living in the USA, and am always looking for ways to improve my German and understanding of German culture. Your videos are very helpful! You are obviously a busy person, and I really appreciate your taking the time to make and post these videos when you can. Having said that, here is a suggestion for a future video: Can you suggest some good authors and German bands that use relatively simple German in their books and songs? I have recently discovered, for example, Bernhard Schlink (Der Vorleser), whose writing style is simple enough that I can understand him fairly well (still need a dictionary, though!). In music I have found that some songs by Udo Lidenberg, and some by the group Wir sind Helden are simple enough that I can understand most of the lyrics. I would love to hear your suggestions of books and songs that are good and also are understandable by people like me whose German is not so good. Thanks again.
Hey there, glad I can help! And thanks for your suggestion, only that I have to admit I’m not really much of a reader (and if I read it’s normally not in German), nor do I listen much to German music. At any rate, you can never go wrong with children books (usually written in a style that’s easy to understand). When I was little I loved books by Astrid Lindgren (to name a few of my favourites: Pippi Langstrumpf, Wir Kinder aus Bullerbü, Mio, mein Mio, Karlsson vom Dach, Die Kinder aus der Krachmacherstraße, Madita, Jule und die Seeräuber, Michel aus Lönneberga, Die Brüder Löwenherz, Lotta kann fast alles, Ronja Räubertochter, Madita…). In terms of music; Herbert Grönemeyer, Ich und Ich, Xavier Naidoo… just google for ‘deutsche Sänger’ and you might find something that you like and understand 🙂
I saw your videos and I like the classic literatures like Goethe. Post more poems and texts about. You help me to learn german.
vielen Dank =)

Hi Kaushal, I’m glad I can be of help. If you want to learn German ‘properly in an efficient way’ you should consider signing up for an online class or go to language classes wherever you life. My videos are meant to be something complementary to support language learning.
I’m sorry but I don’t do person-to-person chats via hangouts, facebook, or any other medium.
The Julia Engelmann post was very welcome. Thanks for taking the time to transcribe it.
